SCURT ISTORIC

Invatamāntul superior de constructii din Romānia a luat fiinta in anul 1864 prin infiintarea la Bucuresti a unei Scoli de Poduri si sosele, Mine si Arhitectura , transformata in 1867 in Scoala de Poduri, sosele si Mine si in 1888 in Scoala Nationala de Poduri si sosele. In 1921, Scoala Nationala de Poduri si sosele s-a transformat in scoala Politehnica din Bucuresti, in cadrul careia pregatirea inginerilor constructori s-a facut in cadrul Sectiei de Constructii, denumita din 1938 Facultatea de Constructii. In anul 1948, ca urmare a Reformei Invatamāntului, Facultatea de Constructii s-a desprins din Scoala Politehnica (care a devenit Institutul Politehnic) si s-a transformat intr-o institutie de invatamānt superior de sine-statatoare, numita Institutul de Constructii din Bucuresti. Incepānd cu anul universitar 1994-1995, Institutul de Constructii a devenit Universitatea Tehnica de Constructii Bucuresti.
